Since so many of you replied back about being curious about using AI to create images I figure I would go into it a little bit for you.
So there are many websites that use artificial intelligence to create artwork. You are going to get different results from each site. The key is to start playing around with wording to see what gets you the best results. From my understanding right now, AI creations cannot have a copyright because they are not created by a human. This type of thing was a big issue with the writers and actors strikes over the summer. Studios want to use AI to write scripts and that would put writers out of work. But can that work have a copyright? This is going to be argued about over the coming years. I feel like the common sense answer would be yes and no. There needs to be a threshold created that can be verified for AI generated content to get a copyright. You can’t just say draw me a picture of a chimp using a computer. That’s lame; with no creativity, it’s not an original thought. Or you can go more in-depth. Lets’s look at some examples.

Group 1 (below):  I kept it simple. Chimp using an Apple computer. As you can see they are kind of weird. 3 of the 4 computers look strange and it’s very generic.

Group 2: Now I changed the prompt a bit. A drawing of a chimp sitting at a desk using an Apple MacBook Pro. You can see the images become better but there are still some issues. Look at the lower left one and the computer screen. The lower right one seems to have 2 computers.

Group 3:  Now I am adding more details. Drawing of chimp, sitting at a desk, wearing a suit and tie. He is typing on an Apple MacBool Pro. The desk is in a high rise office building. There is a window behind him and you can see the city skyline. I also added a negative prompt that said “no fruit.” You can clearly see that the image is becoming more complete.

Group 4:  This time I tried to add another small detail but feel I started to confuse the AI. Used the same as above but said… You can see King Kkong in the background climbing a building with airplanes flying around him. To me, this looks like the chimp changed to King Kong, there is only one with airplanes, 2 don’t look like MacBook Pros and the top left window is missing part of the frame.

Group 5:  For the last one, I took a different angle. King Kong is climbing the Empire State Building. He is holding a MacBook Pro. It’s dusk and a few clouds are in the sky. There are multiple airplanes flying around King Kong and 1 blimp. The blimp has words on the side in red handwriting “We love Kong.” I don’t think any of them got close. Look at how bad some of the planes are. How could they even fly? None seem to be him climbing the Empire State Building. The lower left actually has two Empire State Buildings in it.

I hope seeing this shows what AI is capable of. This is really just the start and a few very quick examples. Wonder if I used enough detail to copyright… that’s something we won’t know for a few years.
