This sentence may sound strange but… Looking for memes is part of my job.
Now, if you don’t know what a meme is, and I’m sure some of you don’t, it’s ok. Once I describe it, I think you will recognize what I’m talking about. A meme is pretty much a picture with text on it. They started many, many years ago on the internet and continue to this day. There are some very “famous” and classic memes. The pictures used have rotating text depending on what the person creating it is trying to get across. Here is an example of using the same picture to create different memes. These are Bad Luck Brian and Success Kid.
In the world of the internet, memes are almost a language used to convey a ton of different emotions, jokes, information etc. Like the old saying goes… A picture is worth a thousand words. None of the text on these pictures has the same weight or effect without the picture. The picture brings the whole idea together. A recent meme that took off was the Kevin James one from King of Queens.
